Start 2012 Supporting a Great Cause!

Vimochana, a registered NGO based out of Bangalore, India, was initiated in1979 to seek a just, humane and creative society rooted in politics that would lead to transformation. Vimochana (meaning liberation) strives towards making violence against women unthinkable and creating a violence free world for all, especially for the more marginalized and vulnerable communities. Apart from this Vimochana, aims at drawing in all sections of society to strive towards a world free from all forms of war, violence, intolerance and conflicts. Rupesh Patric, a charcoal artist, has been supporting various causes with his art. He makes a desktop calendar every year with his charcoal sketches and helps raise money for a specific cause. The past calendars were in support of Dream A Dream (2009), Sneha Nilaya (2010) and Asha Niketan (2011). For further details, visit this link. This year Rupesh is supporting Vimochana. He has tried to capture the innocence, angst and beauty of womanhood in the 2012 calendar.
